Raised by Wolves : Well this is…a bit strange. we all know the grand Discover/Warner merger is on the brink of happen, and it’s resulted in some pretty odd things just like the CW cancelling half its slate of series. But some HBO Max series is also on the cutting block yet, including one among the simplest sci-fi shows on TV, Raised by Wolves.
The weird part about this is often that the cancellation has not been announced, but one in every of the celebrities of the show, Abubakar Salim, who plays Father, has taken to the show’s subreddit to mention it’s already privately been cancelled at HBO Max and that they need fans to create noise about it so it can find a brand new home elsewhere, presumably a rival streaming service. Here’s a part of the message he posted on Reddit some hours ago:
“Power in community. Finding a brand new home.
It’s not surprising, especially after the news of those mergers and what’s happening at Warner, that lots of shows don’t seem to be having their stories finished.
And unfortunately, one in all those shows is Raised by Wolves.
Nothing has been shared yet. But there’s a reason for that. a crucial one. And he will share one here with all. there’s hope.
You see, we’re in a very unique position: we’ve a completely complete and planned storyline, a Goliath of a production team behind us, incredible reception from critics and reviewers alike, and most crucially, a community base that’s so strong internationally, it cannot be ignored.
The reason the cancellation hasn’t been announced is because there’s still an opportunity the story can continue, and be finished at a replacement home.”
Salim goes on to ask fans to travel on social media and begin one in all those “fan movement” campaigns that may sometimes result in the renewal of shows. Salim actually references the Snyder Cut as a time when fans rallied to induce a seemingly impossible project made by simply being loud enough (very, very loud, in this case). From the sound of it, it looks as if the Raised by Wolves’ cancellation is already done and can’t necessarily be undone, and therefore the goal is to seek out a brand new home for the show outright.
